Ageing Lines and Wrinkles

Wrinkles are the bain of our lives as we get older. Crow's feet furrowed brows and marionette lines. All of these are almost inevitable unless we opt to have dermal filling or cosmetic surgery at some point in our lives.
Of course, ageing need not be such a painful process. Much of ageing is psychological but also of course, and something that we find conveniently easy to forget, it is entirely natural.
There is an obsession in the Western world to remain youthful, but whilst we would probably all like to stay young, not only is it entirely unrealistic, it is quite simply stupid. The argument for this is that we all grow old and if we didn't die, something we probably would rather not think about, then the planet will become even more unsustainable and eventually all human life would cease to exist.
But that doesn't mean that we shouldn't get rid of the worst excesses of ageing. After all, we comb our hair and put on make up; basically we want to look our best and even animals groom themselves.
There are many solutions for wrinkles including creams and some argue that facial massage helps too. Botox is very popular for wrinkles especially but marionette lines are more difficult to eradicate. If you haven't heard of these before, think of a wooden marionette puppet and the lines at the side of its face and you get the picture. It is essentially caused by facial muscles sagging.
Some argue that smiling is one of the best ways to prevent these lines but once you have them, the only way to eradicate them is either through dermal fillers which will need 'topping up' from time to time, or more radically, it is possible to have plastic surgery although this needs serious consideration and probably a deep pocket too!

The alternative of course is to simply accept and probably even embrace the ageing process. I wonder in reality how most of us would have felt if our grandparents had gone away fro a day and come back with a somewhat fake look that nearly made them look the same age as our parents. I think most of us would have found that quite odd; I know I would have.
Of course, if we follow a good health regime and drink lots of water, exercise, get the right vitamins and diet, then we will be well on our way to keeping our skin in good condition, however, the reality of daily life for most of us probably prevents us from doing this fully so we may one day have to live with the reality of wrinkles and lines.
