Permanent Makeup

Permanent makeup is the art of implanting microscopic colors into the dermis. It is a cosmetic tattoo which simulates conventional makeup for lips, eyes, brows and cheeks. A woman can improve her looks with this technique and still look natural. Other names for the procedure include permanent cosmetics, cosmetic tattoo and micropigmentation.
Some women prefer to have makeup colors implanted rather than applying makeup everyday. This may also be helpful to women who have difficulty applying makeup due to poor vision or physical disability. If you are sensitive to fragrance and preservatives in conventional makeup or have an active or busy lifestyle, permanent cosmetics may be a solution for you.
If you have scant eyebrows, permanent makeup for the eyebrows ends the hassle of drawing brows evenly everyday. There is also no need to worry about forgetting to draw your eyebrows, or if you have just wiped one brow off. Cancer patients who have lost their eyebrows and eyelashes from chemotherapy can undergo lash enhancement and have their eyebrows tattooed. They can take comfort that undesirable changes to their facial features are kept to a minimum despite their illness.

Permanent makeup for eyeliner is especially appealing to women who wear contact lenses. This is because this procedure puts an end to irritated eyes from topical eye liner, smudging and streaking, and residue collections in the corners of the eyes.
Permanent makeup cost averages between $400 and $800 per procedure, depending on the type of permanent makeup supplies that is used. There are differences in the tools used for implanting colors, and differences in types and brands of pigments as well. Advanced work may be charged at $150 to $250 per hour. Work performed in a physician's office or specialized clinic is likely to cost more.
You probably do not need to touch up your colors within the first year following your first two visits. However, most permanent cosmetic colors require refreshing within twelve to eighteen months. Colors may also shift somewhat as they fade.
While permanent cosmetics offers many benefits, be sure to undergo the procedure only with a practitioner who has received extensive permanent makeup training. He or she should be certified with years of experience.
After having undergone a permanent makeup procedure, be sure to allow four to five days for the surface skin to completely heal. During this time, keep the skin clean to prevent infection. Avoid anything which will soften, peel or scrape your skin which will make your skin lose color.
